On 21 May 2026, Macedonia2025, in partnership with the Swedish-Macedonian Chamber of Commerce (SMCC), successfully organized the first-ever Swedish–Macedonian Business Forum in Stockholm, Sweden.
This landmark event marked an important step in strengthening economic cooperation between Macedonia and Sweden, creating a dynamic platform for companies, entrepreneurs, investors, and diaspora professionals to connect, exchange ideas, and explore concrete business opportunities.
Held at the historic van der Nootska Palatset, the Forum brought together over 140 participants:
• Macedonian companies from Macedonia and Sweden
• Swedish companies interested in cooperation and investment opportunities
• Members of the Macedonian diaspora living and working in Sweden
• Business leaders, professionals, and representatives of relevant institutions
Through curated networking sessions, business presentations, and partnership discussions, participants had the opportunity to identify new markets, explore joint initiatives, and build long-term collaborations across borders.
The Swedish–Macedonian Business Forum 2026 reflected Macedonia2025’s continued commitment to fostering international partnerships, mobilizing the diaspora, and driving sustainable economic growth, while leveraging SMCC’s role as a neutral platform connecting stakeholders in both markets.
The event served as a valuable opportunity to strengthen bilateral business relations and open new pathways for cooperation between the Swedish and Macedonian business communities.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our partners and supporters: Sorsix, Trpevski Kyllonen Invest AB, PCG – Public Cloud Group, and Nextsense, whose support made the successful organization of the Swedish–Macedonian Business Forum possible. Their contribution reflects a shared commitment to strengthening business cooperation, encouraging investment opportunities, promoting Macedonia internationally, and building stronger connections between the Macedonian diaspora, international business communities, and companies in Macedonia.
We are especially proud that this support comes from within the Macedonia2025 community: Dalibor Frtunik and Vasko Kronevski are members of the Macedonia2025 Board of Directors, Goran Stojanovski is an alumnus of our Zafirovski Executive Education Program at Kellogg School of Management, while Antonijo Trpevski is a recipient of the Recognition for Diaspora Contribution 2026, awarded by Macedonia2025 in cooperation with the Cabinet of the President of Macedonia.
